He doesn't buy me gifts! WHY?

We%26#039;ve been together a while now. He has money, always pays for everything and takes me places, but never buys gifts for no occasion, like jewelry or flowers or parfume... I don%26#039;t understand why. I know he really loves me. Is it ok? I buy him stuff sometimes for no reason. This makes me feel he doesn%26#039;t care much. I want flowers, god damn it.

I know how you feel. It%26#039;s just nice to sometimes feel appreicated or special without it having to be a speical occasion.





My husband will buy me flowers if I mention it to him that it%26#039;d be nice, but the suprise would be better...for him to do it without mentioning a thing.

Reply:Men are obtuse. He probably thinks your gifts are making up for him paying for you guys to go out. That, and sex. Some men do not buy gifts at all. Some men only buy gifts for women they really love. I don%26#039;t know, as a fellow woman, if it is too much to say- hey this is what I want... Or, perhaps if you say what you want, then they know? Men: women like flowers and little presents to know you are thinking of them and care. And not just when you cheat on them! Jeez. Sometimes I wish I were gay, women understand women and men understand men. Why we need to deal with the other, I have no idea.

Reply:Clearly he%26#039;s not inconsiderate, since he takes you out and pays for everything. That means a lot right there. And flowers are expensive, so if he buys you flowers, you might be going out less often... ;-)
Reply:The problem is with you not him....maybe he does love you and doesn%26#039;t feel the need to shower you with gifts. If he pays for everything and takes you places ,take it wasy on his wallet. As long as he is good to you who cares.
