What kind of gifts do you give to ring bearer & flower girl?

I dont know what kind of gifts I am supposed to give them. Like little toys or more grown up things? They are 5 and 7 years old.

What kind of gifts do you give to ring bearer %26amp; flower girl?
I did both. I gave them both small plaques with a poem about being the ringbearer/flower girl and our wedding date. (I found them on ebay for $5)

I also got them toys too. The flower girl is really into Barbies so I got her the wedding cake Barbie playset. The boy loves Spiderman so we got him some action figures.

They both have something to remember the day by but also something fun.

good luck!
Reply:For the kiddos in my upcoming wedding, we made them each a little canvas messenger bag and filled it with toys, games, activities, snacks, a new water bottle, fairy wands, stickers, and anything else we thought would help keep them entertained during the slow parts of our big day. We decorated the bags with their title and their name, and they turned out really cute!
Reply:I just got married and had a great time shopping for my flower girl and the ring bearer! He was 5 and she was 6. She is a really really girly girl and loves to dress up and wear makeup. I got her a makeup bag like I got the older girls and filled it with cheap makeup. Lipstick, nail polish, eye shadow...all kinds of stuff....she LOVED it. For the ring bearer, a total boy, I got him a remote control Hummer. He drove it around the rehearsal and still drives it around almost a year later. They are kids let them have something fun!
Reply:Yikes - what does a 5 or 7-year-old boy want with a grown up keepsake (a monogrammed money clip?) Give something fun to occupy them at the reception -- hand-held electronic games (Target has a bunch), the %26quot;Apples to Apples%26quot; game, a Leapfrog Turbo Twist spelling game (http://www.amazon.com/Leap-Frog-LeapFrog... coloring books and crayons. Does the older child have a Gameboy or PSP? Get him/her a new game and tell the parents to make sure they bring the unit on the wedding day. They will be happy and occupied and not bored and chasing each other around and sticking their fingers in the cake.
Reply:Anything goes with kids. You could give a necklace, bracelet or watch or a toy if you choose.
Reply:i got the ring bearers a t-shirt that said %26quot;ring security%26quot; on the back and also a small duffel bag with his name stitched in it (i had a 2yr old and a 7yr old). i got my flower girl a t%26#039;shirt too but then I got her a cute (age appropriate) bracelet and necklace set for her to wear at the wedding (she was 6)

Build-a-Bear also has FG and RB costumes for their animals.. thats a cute gift they can remember your wedding by (my 2yr old ring bearer and flower girl were really into my wedding and i got them those for christmas (wedding was February).
Reply:My son was a ring bearer twice and both times he got books and small toys.
Reply:A FLOWER BOKEY.
Reply:Check your local mall, to see if there is a company called Build A Bear. You can take the children there and let them build their own Stuffed bear, its alot of fun, the kids will have a blast!
Reply:for the girl a cute teddy bear

for the guy a vest?
Reply:i was a flower girl in my aunt%26#039;s wedding when i was 7 and she gave me a book called %26quot;The Giving Tree%26quot; by Shel Silverstein. Now everytime I see that book I think about my aunt%26#039;s wedding. For a little boy, you could get him his first wallet. That is about the time that they start doing chores for dollars. Just be creative. They will love anything you give them.
Reply:well i gave my flower girl a pair of pearl earings

and i gave my ring bearer a silver foot ball bank

im sure something along thoes lines would work
Reply:Something for a little kid. THey don%26#039;t understand grown-up traditions.

I was a flower girl when I was nine and got a toy/game that I loved and had fun with.

Our flower girl was 9 and we gave her a jewelry box and jewelry that matched the bridesmaids. As far as I know, liked it!
Reply:I think something that is a keep sake would be best, so they can remember the day. A toy they can get anytime.

Some ideas for the girl....bride and groom beanie babies, a little silver locket with a photo of her on the day, a charm bracelet with wedding motifs(eg horseshoe, flower, etc) maybe add a toy of some description to keep them from being bored at the wedding...wedding colouring pages or a activity set, books, crayons etc

For the boy.......much harder! I would go with some kind of activity set, and maybe something that he would have to look after like a game boy and have the back of it engraved. Or even his very first watch! He would feel important and grown up then!
Reply:you can get them some little toys or something. maybe a little necklace for the flowergirl or a watch for the ring bearer. thats what my cousin did for hers. maybe a coloring book for the reception for they want be bored.
